Portable electronic storage in the form of diskettes, CDs, DVDs, Zip disks and other methods is considered a multiple format because it provides access for people who do not have Web or e-mail access.
Many people do not have Web or e-mail access for affordability reasons or their particular disability prevents them from being able to use these services.
It is important, therefore, to make portable storage formats such as diskettes and CDs available as options for publication delivery.
The e-text master of a
publication is the recommended file to distribute via portable
storage. Also suitable would be the Large Print version
(based on the e-text master).
